The bug was discovered 08/08/2006. The weakness was shared 08/08/2006 by Reed Arvin with Canaudit Inc. as MS06-051 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-3443 since 07/07/2006. Access to the local network is required for this attack. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
