Oracle Database 10g uses a NULL pDacl parameter when calling the SetSecurityDescriptorDacl function to create discretionary access control lists (DACLs), which allows local users to gain privileges.

The weakness was released 04/18/2007 by Cesar Cerrudo with Oracle (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-1442 since 03/13/2007. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
