A vulnerability was found in WinSCP 5.5/5.5.1/5.5.2 (Connectivity Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component X.509 Certificate Handler. The weakness was released 04/16/2014 by Micha Borrmann with SYSS as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-2735 since 04/08/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
