Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.8 and SeaMonkey before 1.1.5 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary Javascript with user privileges by using the Script object to modify XPCNativeWrappers in a way that causes the script to be executed when a chrome action is performed.
The weakness was shared 10/19/2007 by Georgi Guninski (moz_bug_r_a4) with Martijn Wargers as MFSA2007-35 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-5338 since 10/10/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
