Cross-zone vulnerability in Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.9 considers blocked popups to have an internal zone origin, which allows user-assisted remote attackers to cross zone restrictions and read arbitrary file:// URIs by convincing a user to show a blocked popup.
The bug was discovered 02/05/2007. The weakness was shared 02/05/2007 by Micha, #322 and Zalewski (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-0800 since 02/07/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
