A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Apple Mac OS X 10.4 (Operating System). Affected is some unknown functionality. Unspecified vulnerability in the CoreServices daemon in CarbonCore in Apple Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.4.9 allows local users to gain privileges via unspecified vectors involving "obtaining a send right to [the] Mach task port."
The bug was discovered 04/17/2007. The weakness was presented 04/24/2007 by Landon Fuller with Mu Security research team (Website). The advisory is available at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-0732 since 02/05/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
