The bug was discovered 07/08/2008. The weakness was presented 07/08/2008 by Michael Jackson with Context Information Security as MS08-039 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-2247 since 05/16/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
