A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0. This issue affects the function FoxDoCmd of the file fpole.ocx of the component ActiveX Control. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-78. Insecure method vulnerability in the FPOLE.OCX 6.0.8450.0 ActiveX control in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary programs by specifying them as an argument to the FoxDoCmd function.
The bug was discovered 10/09/2007. The weakness was shared 10/18/2007 by shinnai (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at shinnai.altervista.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-5322 since 10/09/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
