Integer overflow in QuickTime in Apple Mac OS X before 10.7.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted MPEG file.

The weakness was shared 05/15/2012 by Aaron Sigel (Paul) with Aalto University (MITRE CVE). It is possible to read the advisory at cve.mitre.org. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-0659 since 01/12/2012. The attack may be initiated remotely.
