The PDF functionality in Google Chrome before 21.0.1180.57 on Mac OS X and Linux, and before 21.0.1180.60 on Windows and Chrome Frame, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors that trigger out-of-bounds write operations.
The weakness was shared 07/31/2012 by Gynvael Coldwind and Mateusz Jurczyk (Trev) with Google Security Team as Stable Channel Release as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-2856 since 05/19/2012.
