The date-picker implementation in Google Chrome before 21.0.1180.57 on Mac OS X and Linux, and before 21.0.1180.60 on Windows and Chrome Frame, allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted web site.
The weakness was presented 07/31/2012 by Charmel De Silva (Trev) with Aspect Security as Stable Channel Release as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-2860 since 05/19/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
