Double free vulnerability in libxml2, as used in Google Chrome before 14.0.835.163, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to XPath handling.

The weakness was published 09/19/2012 by Yang Dingning (kuzzcc) with NCNIPC as APPLE-SA-2012-09-19-1 as confirmed posting (Website). The advisory is available at prod.lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2011-2834 since 07/20/2011. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely.
