A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in XMLSoft libxslt up to 1.0.11. Affected is an unknown function of the file xslt.c of the component libxslt. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a denial of service vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-404. xslt.c in libxslt before 1.1.25 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a stylesheet that embeds a DTD, which causes a structure to be accessed as a different type. NOTE: this issue is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2012-2825.
The weakness was disclosed 12/14/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at gitorious.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-4520 since 06/12/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.

Upgrading to version 1.0.12 eliminates this vulnerability.
