Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the SQL Server Report Manager in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services SP2 and SQL Server 2005 SP4, 2008 SP2 and SP3, 2008 R2 SP1, and 2012 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via an unspecified parameter, aka "Reflected XSS Vulnerability."
The weakness was shared 10/09/2012 as MS12-070 as confirmed bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-2552 since 05/09/2012. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
