The weakness was shared 09/23/2015 by Lufeng Li (beist) with Qihoo 360 as HT205213 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-5899 since 08/06/2015. Attacking locally is a requirement. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. A memory corruption issue existed in the kernel. This issue was addressed through improved memory handling.
