The weakness was published 10/09/2015 by Ilja van Sprundel with IOActive (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-5830 since 08/06/2015. The exploitation appears to be difficult. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
