Microsoft Visio Viewer 2010 SP1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Visio file that triggers incorrect memory allocation, aka "Visio Viewer Tree Object Type Confusion Vulnerability."

The weakness was shared 03/12/2013 by iDefense Labs (Aniway Anyway) with iDefense Labs VCP as MS13-023 as confirmed bulletin (Microsoft Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0079 since 11/27/2012. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
