A vulnerability was found in Oracle Java up to 2.2.7 (Programming Language Software) and classified as very critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component ImageIO. Unspecified vulnerability in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) component in Oracle Java SE 7 Update 17 and earlier, 6 Update 43 and earlier, and 5.0 Update 41 and earlier; JavaFX 2.2.7 and earlier; and OpenJDK 6 and 7 allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability via unknown vectors related to ImageIO. NOTE: the previous information is from the April 2013 CPU. Oracle has not commented on claims from another vendor that this issue is related to "JPEGImageReader state corruption" when using native code.

This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-2430 since 03/05/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
