Moodle through 2.6.11, 2.7.x before 2.7.13, 2.8.x before 2.8.11, 2.9.x before 2.9.5, and 3.0.x before 3.0.3 does not properly restrict links, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive URL information by reading a Referer log.
The weakness was disclosed 05/22/2016 (Website). The advisory is available at moodle.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-2190 since 01/29/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
