epan/dissectors/packet-dcp-etsi.c in the DCP ETSI dissector in Wireshark 1.8.x before 1.8.7 uses incorrect integer data types, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (integer overflow, and heap memory corruption or NULL pointer dereference, and application crash) via a malformed packet.
The weakness was shared 01/17/2013 by Evan Jensen as wnpa-sec-2013-27 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is available at wireshark.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-3559 since 05/20/2013. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
