The weakness was published 06/04/2013 by Atte Kettunen (bobbyholley) with Oulu University Secure Programming Group as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-2862 since 04/11/2013. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
