Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and 8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site, aka "Internet Explorer Memory Corruption Vulnerability."
The weakness was published 07/09/2013 by Bluesea as ms13-jul as confirmed bug report (Technet) via ZDI (Zero Day Initiative). The advisory is available at technet.microsoft.com. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-3149 since 04/17/2013. The attack can only be initiated within the local network. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
