The MagickRealloc function in memory.c in Graphicsmagick 1.3.25 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via large dimensions in a jpeg image.

The bug was discovered 03/01/2017. The weakness was shared 03/01/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-9830 since 12/04/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
