A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick (Image Processing Software) (version unknown). It has been declared as problematic. The png coder in ImageMagick allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash).
The bug was discovered 06/02/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/20/2017 (oss-sec). It is possible to read the advisory at openwall.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-9849 since 06/02/2016. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
