A vulnerability was found in Jasper up to 1.900.10 (Programming Tool Software). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects the function jas_malloc of the file libjasper/base/jas_malloc.c. The jas_malloc function in libjasper/base/jas_malloc.c in JasPer before 1.900.11 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted file, which triggers a memory allocation failure.
The bug was discovered 03/23/2017. The weakness was released 03/23/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com.
