A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in libming 0.4.7 (Programming Tool Software). This affects the function printMP3Headers of the file listmp3.c of the component MP3 File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The bug was discovered 11/10/2016. The weakness was published 03/23/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com.
