isakmpd in OpenBSD 3.8, 3.9, and possibly earlier versions, creates Security Associations (SA) with a replay window of size 0 when isakmpd acts as a responder during SA negotiation, which allows remote attackers to replay IPSec packets and bypass the replay protection.

The bug was discovered 08/25/2006. The weakness was released 08/28/2006 with OpenBSD Team (Website). The advisory is shared for download at openbsd.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-4436 since 08/28/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
