The web-based administration interface on the Camtron CMNC-200 Full HD IP Camera and TecVoz CMNC-200 Megapixel IP Camera with firmware 1.102A-008 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via a // (slash slash) at the beginning of a URI, as demonstrated by the //system.html URI.

The weakness was shared 11/12/2010 by Trustwave's SpiderLabs with Trustwave's SpiderLabs (Website). The advisory is shared for download at trustwave.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-4232 since 11/11/2010. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
