A vulnerability was found in IBM Lotus Domino 6 (Groupware Software). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file /webadmin.nsf/dlgFilesFolderNew of the component Quick Console. The manipulation of the argument QUERY_STRING
with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Lotus Domino 6.0.x before 6.0.4 and 6.5.x before 6.5.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unknown attack vectors.
The bug was discovered 06/09/2004. The weakness was released 03/16/2004 by Dr_insane (Website). The advisory is available at members.lycos.co.uk. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2667 since 12/29/2006. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
