Multiple integer signedness errors in libpurple in Pidgin before 2.10.8 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted timestamp value in an XMPP message.
The weakness was released 01/28/2014 by Jaime Breva Ribes as Crash handling bad XMPP timestamp as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at pidgin.im. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-6477 since 11/04/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
