In general these flaws cannot be exploited through email in the Thunderbird and Seamonkey products because scripting is disabled, but are potentially a risk in browser or browser-like contexts.
This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-1518 since 01/16/2014. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
