The XML parser in Mozilla Firefox before 1.5.0.1 and SeaMonkey before 1.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly read sensitive data via unknown attack vectors that trigger an out-of-bounds read.

The weakness was released 02/02/2006 by Johnny Stenback (moz_bug_r_a4) with Martijn Wargers as MFSA2006-07 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-0298 since 01/18/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
