Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird before 1.5.0.4 associates XUL attributes with the wrong URL under certain unspecified circumstances, which might allow remote attackers to bypass restrictions by causing a persisted string to be associated with the wrong URL.
The weakness was published 06/02/2006 by Paul Nickerson (moz_bug_r_a4) with Cybozu Labs as MFSA2006-34 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-2775 since 06/02/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
