Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird before 1.5.0.4 associates XUL attributes with the wrong URL under certain unspecified circumstances, which might allow remote attackers to bypass restrictions by causing a persisted string to be associated with the wrong URL.
The weakness was presented 06/02/2006 by Paul Nickerson and moz_bug_r_a4 with Cybozu Labs as MFSA2006-37 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2006-2775 since 06/02/2006. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
