A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Adobe Flash Player 8 (Multimedia Player Software). This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality of the component Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player 9.x up to 9.0.48.0, 8.x up to 8.0.35.0, and 7.x up to 7.0.70.0 allows remote attackers to modify HTTP headers for client requests and conduct HTTP Request Splitting attacks.

The bug was discovered 12/18/2007. The weakness was presented 12/19/2007 by Toshiharu Sugiyama with UBSEcure Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared for download at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-6245 since 12/05/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
