A vulnerability was found in NullSoft WinAmp up to 2.59 (Multimedia Player Software). It has been classified as very critical. Affected is an unknown code in the library IN_MOD.DLL. Heap-based buffer overflow in IN_MOD.DLL (aka the Module Decoder Plug-in) in Winamp before 5.57, and libmikmod 3.1.12, might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an Ultratracker file.
The weakness was released 12/18/2009 by Dyon Balding with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-3996 since 11/19/2009.
