Profile Manager in Apple Mac OS X before 10.7.5 does not properly perform authentication for the Device Management private interface, which allows attackers to enumerate managed devices via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was released 09/20/2012 by Jesse Ruderman with Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-3721 since 06/19/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Upgrading to version 10.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
