A vulnerability has been found in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6/7/8/9/10 (Web Browser) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function onBeforeCopy. Use-after-free vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 through 10 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site that triggers access to a deleted object, aka "Internet Explorer onBeforeCopy Use After Free Vulnerability."
The weakness was published 03/12/2013 by Aniway Anyway with Zero Day Initiative as MS13-021 as confirmed bulletin (Microsoft Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-0093 since 11/27/2012. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 65210 (MS13-021: Security Update for Internet Explorer (2809289)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows : Microsoft Bulletins.
