The fpAcc function in tif_predict.c in the tiff2rgba tool in LibTIFF 4.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error) via a crafted TIFF image.
The weakness was published 04/07/2016 by Security Team with Qihoo 360 as confirmed mailinglist post (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2016-3622 since 03/21/2016. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
