A vulnerability classified as critical was found in GraphicsMagick 1.3.25 (Image Processing Software). Affected by this vulnerability is the function ReadPCXImage of the file coders/pcx.c. The ReadPCXImage function in coders/pcx.c in GraphicsMagick 1.3.25 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via a crafted image, which triggers a memory allocation failure and a "file truncation error for corrupt file."
The bug was discovered 10/10/2016. The weakness was presented 02/15/2017 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (oss-sec). It is possible to read the advisory at openwall.com.
