The ReadRLEImage function in coders/rle.c in ImageMagick 6.8.9.9 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via a crafted image file.

The bug was discovered 06/02/2016. The weakness was disclosed 03/20/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-9844 since 06/02/2016.
